Cynthia Nixon owes NYC $2,000 for old FDNY fines

And just like that, Cynthia Nixon is stiffing the FDNY.

Shortly after purchasing a $4.4 million townhouse in Kips Bay in June 2021, the “Sex and the City” actress racked up nearly $2,000 in fines for her building’s false fire alarms — which the star has yet to pay, records show.

As construction got underway at the newly-acquired East 32nd Street townhouse, fire alarms blared in September and October 2021, despite no signs of danger.

Nixon, 57, was subsequently slapped with a $1,000 fine for “failure to prevent unnecessary and/or unwarranted alarm(s),” according to an FDNY ticket.

A few months later, in January 2022, another false alarm sounded during construction, resulting in a second fine, this one for $935.

Nixon has yet to settle her debt with the city and has accrued $153.92 in interest — despite reportedly raking in $1 million per episode to reprise her role as Miranda Hobbes in the SATC reboot “And Just Like That.”

After being contacted by The Post about the penalties, a rep for Nixon claimed the fines had been contested and paid, but provided no proof.

City records still listed the fines as outstanding as of Saturday.

“Cynthia Nixon has been exposed for not complying with the very laws she claimed to abide by during her run for governor,” Councilwoman Joann Ariola (R-Queens), who chairs the fire and emergency management committee, told The Post.

“These fines were levied because she negligently wasted taxpayer resources on multiple unnecessary alarm calls. And now this multimillionaire can’t be bothered to pay her two thousand dollar debt to the city? Miranda would never do that.”

While Nixon and cast members famously showed love to firefighters on her HBO show, the city’s smoke-eaters are livid the actress has yet to pay up.

“It’s absolutely infuriating,” one veteran FDNY member said.

“This is a candidate for governor who ordered cream cheese, lox, tomatoes, red onion, and capers on a cinnamon raisin bagel,” he continued, referring to her much-maligned bagel order during her failed gubernatorial campaign in 2018. “If you don’t know the rules of how to eat lox on a bagel, you can’t be trusted.”

Neighbors were similarly annoyed.

“Alarms going off … and she isn’t paying the fines?” groused Paul Gray, 60, who lives on the block. “If she can get away with it, so should everybody else.”

In addition to catching heat from FDNY, Nixon was trashed by Sanitation Department inspectors, who twice dinged the actress: a $50 violation in June 2022 for a garbage bag outside her building on a non-collection day and another $50 fine in March for failing to clean litter within the 18-inch curb line of her home. She hasn’t paid either fine, according to records.
