Dave Portnoy is back in the media spotlight and loving every minute of it.

Following the deal to buy back Barstool Sports, he celebrated the occasion by appearing to purchase a horse.

“I bought myself a present tonight. Goodnight,” Portnoy wrote on Twitter.

The tweet was accompanied by a photo and a video of a horse.

The text on the left side of the post read, “BARSTOOL IS BACK, BSW/CROW AGT $650,000.”

The first comment on the post is from Portnoy, who wrote, “I love her.”

According to its website, BSW/Crow Bloodstock handles “elite race sales” and calls itself “the premier bloodstock agency in the U.S.”

After Penn Entertainment announced Tuesday it is divesting the company back to Portnoy, who founded Barstool in 2003, the former and current president hosted an “Emergency Press Conference – I Bought Back Barstool Sports” on Twitter.

In the video, which runs more than two minutes, Portnoy did his best Alexander Haig, saying he is in control at Barstool Sports and owns 100 percent of the company.

“We underestimated just how tough it is for myself and Barstool to operate in a regulatory world where gambling regulators, the New York Times, Business Insider hit pieces f–king with the stock price. Every time we did something it was one step forward, two steps back,” Portnoy said.

“We got denied licenses because of me. You name it. So, the regulated industry probably not the best place for Barstool Sports and the type of content we make.”

Portnoy sold a majority of Barstool to The Chernin Group in 2016.

But don’t look for the 46-year-old, pizza-loving Portnoy to make any future financial moves when it comes to Barstool.

“For us, for Barstool, for the first time in forever, we don’t have to watch what we say, how we talk, what we do. It’s back to the pirate ship,” said Portnoy, whose net worth is reportedly $100 million. according to celebritynetworth.com.

By the way, I will never sell Barstool Sports [again], ever. I’ll hold it till I die.”
